Flyball Fanatics - Flood Recovery

During the Brisbane flood in January, both the Flyball Fanatics' training grounds and storage sheds at the RSPCA Animal Shelter in Fairfield were inundated with water.

At the time our priority was to evacuate the animals – not Flyball equipment – so we lost almost everything.

Huge thanks to the Flyball Clubs around Australia that have organised competitions, mock comps and made donations to help us get back on our paws.  It’s hard to express our gratitude – your help makes the task of starting again look less daunting.

What we need immediately is a new Flyball box and a set of hurdles with padding.

Our next challenge comes in May when the Flyball Fanatics hosts a competition in connection with RSPCA’s Million Paws Walk. This event is sponsored by Hills Science Diet, so we can’t use AFA equipment – for this competition we will need: backboards, hurdles, racing tape x 2 and really exciting things like bunting and star pickets!

Thanks again to all the Flyball Clubs and individuals that have helped Qld clubs.
